Jun. 26, 2013

TOWN OF MENASHA — A 57-year-old motorcyclist died after a multiple-vehicle crash on U.S. 41 Tuesday.

Around 10:35 p.m., a slow-moving car was rear-ended on southbound U.S. 41 at U.S. 10 causing a three-vehicle crash, said Lt. Gordon Ledioyt, of the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office.

The slow-moving car careened from its lane and stopped on the east shoulder of the highway blocking a lane. Around 10:40 p.m., the Oshkosh motorcyclist crashed into the disabled car and was taken to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah where he died. His name is being withheld pending family notification.

No one else was injured in the crash, which blocked the southbound lanes for six hours.

The crash is under investigation.
