It's Your Call: Make way for ducklings

8:09 PM, Jun. 25, 2013  |  Comments

MAKE WAY: Coming off of U.S. 41 onto Richmond Street, I was confronted with two lanes of stopped traffic. No cops, no fire trucks, no horn honking. A closer look showed a small mother duck and her three babies crossing busy Richmond Street. Even when her brood cleared the outside lane, no car moved. When they landed on the grass, everyone had a better day, including me.
