OUSD switches health insurer

The Oconto Unified School District is expecting to save money by switching health insurance providers for the second year in a row.

The school board on June 17 voted to go with one of two options presented by WEA Health, Madison. One option includes establishing a clinic inside a school building for employees.

WEA had handled the district's insurance for years, but last year accepted a proposal from Network Health, Menasha, which the officials said at the time would save about $500,000. ...
