Felony charges against Lakewood contractor dismissed

The criminal case against a Lakewood construction contractor accused of not paying five subcontractors last summer has been dismissed.

Judge Michael T. Judge dismissed the five felony counts of theft by contractor at the request of District Attorney Ed Burke.

"There is a civil case pending, which may provide information as to defendant's guilt or innocence," said Burke's motion for dismissal. ...
