Manitowoc Salvation Army's two summer programs under way

Each summer, the Manitowoc Salvation Army is busy with a variety of programs.

Its first program, Feed the Kids, is a free event and is available to children and youth ages 18 and younger who may not have meals daily. With the addition of the new Sidewalk Club, the two programs build on each other, according to organizers.

"We're feeding kids that might otherwise go hungry," said Marcus Constantine, outreach and program director at the Manitowoc Salvation Army. Feed the Kids can feed anywhere from small groups at their five sites to about 600 children, according to Matt Rivera, who works for the ...
