Police recover last of several guns stolen from local shop

Police recovered the last of several guns stolen last year from a Wausau gun shop that have been connected to two violent deaths.

On Sept. 30, several handguns, a baton, flashlights and other items were stolen from Condition One gun store, 2230 N. Fourth Ave., Wausau, according to police.

The last outstanding gun from that burglary was recovered last week when a Wisconsin State Patrol officer found it in a vehicle after making a traffic stop, Wausau Police Capt. Bryan Hilts said. He did not have details on the incident, and the State Patrol officer handling the case did not return messages ...
