Closing of deal formalizes joining of Thilmany, Wausau Paper

Expera Specialty Solutions is open for business.

The company, which was created through the combination of Thilmany Papers and the specialty paper business of Wausau Paper Corp., said the deal to create Expera closed Wednesday morning. The company's new name was announced in May.

"Now we are one and acting as one company," said Addie Teeters, a representative for Expera. "Until the deal closed, we had to continue operating as separate, competing businesses." ...
