The Highground celebrates Flag Day

The Highground Veterans Memorial Park in Neillsville celebrated Flag Day on June 8 with a ceremony preceding the laying of Korean Tribute stones in the morning and another ceremony preceding the laying of Legacy Tribute stones in the afternoon.

The morning ceremony began with a flag procession comprising members of Boy Scout Troop 43 of Neillsville, Boy Scout Troop 1701 of Menomonie and Cub Scout Pack 43 of Neillsville. After the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of "The Star-Spangled Banner," a speech on the history of Flag Day was read by Dominic Kuehn of Boy Scout Troop 43.
