Green Bay School District ends late starts

2013-14 calendar also builds in makeup day for inclement weather

The Green Bay School District will eliminate late starts and add a day of class to accommodate snow days in the upcoming school year.

The 2013-14 school calendar will include slightly longer school days for some students and a built-in day of class to accommodate days off for inclement weather. The district will add a day of class in May that students will have off if it isn't needed to make up for a snow day, said Kim Pahlow, associate superintendent for the Green Bay district.
