Retiring Aspirus CEO Duane Erwin doubled size of company (with video)

Since Duane Erwin was hired as president and chief executive officer of Wausau-based Aspirus health care system, the size of the company and the area it serves have doubled.

Now, after more than seven years with the company, Erwin has retired. Friday was his last day.

Erwin will be replaced by Matthew Heywood, 46, originally of Toledo, Ohio. Heywood now serves as executive vice president and CEO of New Hanover Health Network in Wilmington, N.C. He will join Aspirus on Monday. ...
