Marshfield's Bo Howard once took a fastball square in the nose - a pitch from then River Falls and current University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point standout JP Feyereisen - and just headed to first base with little reaction, even as the blood started to pour.

"He just put his bat down and ran a few steps to first, and by the time I got to him (the blood) was just all over. He didn't say anything, not even 'Ouch'," Marshfield coach Mark Zee said.
