Helen McGowan's eyes filled with tears as she struggled to find the words to describe what the decades-old, rickety red shack a few feet away from where she sat had grown to mean to her.

"It was just this little hole in the wall when we moved here, and now it means so much to me," she said with a laugh as tears streamed down her face.

Anyone just passing through the village might not even notice the red building itself, although it's hard to miss the smell of fresh soil and blooming flowers - the colors alone could distract even the most concentrated driver passing by. ...
