It's hard to believe that the first harvest of crops from the family garden already has begun. Early fruits, vegetables, herbs and edible flowers are ready for foraging, and it's a great time to get out into the garden and explore.

Get creative with your harvesting and enjoy some delicious and unusual spring produce that can liven up your meals and snacks. Sharing some of these out-of-the-box harvests with your children is a great way to continue to keep them interested in gardening, plants and the origins of the foods they eat.
