Jean Segura is fast becoming one of baseball's biggest success stories in large part because of failure.

The Milwaukee Brewers set everything into motion when they failed to see that Alcides Escobar could be a productive everyday major-league shortstop and thus sent him along to Kansas City when they acquired Zack Greinke in December 2010.

Then, when Greinke was on the move out of Milwaukee last July, the Los Angeles Angels failed to see the value they had in Segura and agreed to send him to Milwaukee, along with two minor-league pitchers, for Greinke. ...
