Bikes 'n' Brats aims to get people cycling

Dozens of new and veteran cyclists gathered Saturday at the inaugural Bikes 'n' Brats event, held at Nine Mile County Forest Recreation Area in Rib Mountain.

The event was sponsored by two local cycling groups, the Wausau Wheelers and the Central Wisconsin Offroad Cycling Coalition, and by a few local bike shops, including Builer's Cycling & Fitness, Trek Store of Wausau and Rib Mountain Cycles. The event was postponed from June 8 because of rain.

Rain early on during the event put a damper on festivities, but once it came to an end, bikers old and young stopped at the event to discover new styles ...
