Local farmers markets continue to be crowd-pleasers

People in the Wisconsin Rapids area who want to support those who market locally grown and baked products have plenty of opportunities at local farmers markets.

The Rome Farmers Market, located in the Alpine Business Park just off Highway 13 in Rome, is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays.

Some of the same vendors at the Rome location also frequent the south Wood County Farmers Market, which operates from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays in the Rapids Mall parking lot near the intersection of the Riverview Expressway and West Grand Avenue. ...
