"Once a Ponzi Time," a frenzied financial comedy by Joe Foust, makes its world première July 3 at Peninsula Players Theatre, starting a three-week run with performances through July 21.

Sly investments and double-dealing abound in this madcap comedy, which has Harold and his nephew Louie jumping through hoops to cover-up Harold's financial subterfuge while dealing with his wacky father, a ventriloquism enthusiastic. The Russian mob is pursuing Harold for his pyramid scheme, an officer investigating Harold's books is sweet on Gramps, and Gramps' manipulative marionette is after ...
