Violet Thompson enjoys the perks of being almost 2.

The 17-month-old enjoys trips to the park with her 3-year-old sister, Grace, and watching activity outside her family's front window in Stevens Point. She recently learned to roll over, and her parents, Jake and Natasha Thompson, light up each time she coos.

But for Violet, any of these tasks, as well a lifting her head and eating require special care. ...
