Felony charges amended on marijuana drug case

An Algoma man will spend up to 20 days in jail and had his car seized as a result of a drug sting on March 28 by the Door and Kewaunee Drug Task Force.

Kenneth R. Short, 56, was originally charged with a felony for attempting to deliver less than 200 grams of marijuana during a controlled buy to a home in Fish Creek. A drug search warrant was issued and Sandra and Joshua Peterson were also arrested on charges of maintaining a drug house among other charges.

In Door County Circuit Court he accepted a plea agreement to a reduced misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana, and Judge D. Todd Ehlers ...
