Boys basketball: Miron named Ashwaubenon coach

John Miron, who led Kimberly High School to back-to-back state basketball championships in 1994 and 1995, has agreed to become boys basketball coach at Ashwaubenon, athletic director Dave Steavpack confirmed Monday morning.

Miron was an assistant coach at Little Chute the past five seasons, helping the Mustangs to two WIAA Division 3 state tournament berths. Before that, he served 17 seasons as the head coach at Kimberly.

"He's an excellent coach and we're happy to have him,'' Steavpack said. "He's just really a good person, good guy, good coach.'' ...
