Issues raised by audit are 'technicalities' WEDC CEO claims

The chief executive of the embattled Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. said concerns raised by an audit of the agency didn't have an impact on the number of jobs created in the state.

In May, the Legislative Audit Bureau issued a report on the state's largest economic development agency, claiming it "did not have sufficient policies to administer its grant, loan and tax credit programs effectively, including some statutorily required policies."

Reed Hall, the former executive director of Marshfield Clinic, said those were "technicalities" that had no impact on the agency's ability ...
