Merrill's Paul makes return to Woodchucks

Arrives after first season at West Virginia

Being that he had only thrown bullpen sessions since the end of May, Pascal Paul's debut with the Wisconsin Woodchucks on Monday was surprisingly efficient.

The 6-foot-2 right-hander and Merrill native pitched a scoreless seventh inning in a 4-2 win against Eau Claire. Paul allowed a walk, a stolen base and released a wild pitch, but stranded the potential tying run at third base, as he got Tim Zier to groundout to short to end the inning.
