DE PERE - De Pere High School principal Annette Deuman will not become district administrator for the Menasha School District.
The Menasha School Board instead chose Chris VanderHeyden, administrator for the Shiocton School District.
Deuman was one of three finalists, who also included Dan Tjernagel.
"It was a very difficult decision," Menasha School Board president Joe Lingnofski said Wednesday. "I would have been pleased to work with any of the three. Annette was very impressive."
Deuman has been the De Pere High School principal for seven years. Before that, she taught English at Waupun High School.
The new administrator replaces Robert Kobylski.
