The driver whose motor home was crushed by the opening of the Michigan Street Bridge in Sturgeon Bay on June 23 was not at fault according to a completed investigation and video released this week by the Sturgeon Bay Police Department.

Michael James Fielding Trese, 68, Merritt Island, Fla., and his wife, D. Cherney Trese, and their two dogs, narrowly escaped injury when their 42-foot-long recreational vehicle pulling a car was caught in traffic heading south across the Michigan Street Bridge at 11 a.m. and the bridge began to lift.
