Braves win make-up, pull into tie for second

Kolberg pulled into a tie for second place in Door County League baseball with a 7-2 win over Baileys Harbor in a July 4 game at Kolberg.

The game was rescheduled from one postponed June 2 because of wet field conditions. The win gives the Braves a 5-2 record, and with all other teams idle Thursday, it ties them for second with Sister Bay, both a game behind league-leading Egg Harbor at 6-1.

Kolberg jumped on its first opportunity to take the lead, with RBI singles from Jeff Sperber and Jesse Miller giving it a 2-0 lead in the first inning, and the Athletics never caught up. ...
