Rattlers Report: Taylor powers Wisconsin to victory

Tyrone Taylor hit a two-out grand slam to left field to cap a five-run rally that carried the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers to an 8-7 Midwest League win over the Cedar Rapids Kernels at Perfect Game Field in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Friday.

The Rattlers trailed 6-3 when Christopher McFarland singled to right off Kaleb Merck with one out in the seventh. Adam Giacalone followed with a single and Adrian Williams popped out.

Alfredo Rodriguez walked to load the bases and Michael Reed drew a walk off Merck to force in the first run. Steven Gruver, who had given up four home runs in 51 innings, relieved Merck ...
