It's Your Call: Hitting rock-bottom over abortion

3:42 PM, Jul. 3, 2013  |  Comments

ROCK BOTTOM: On June 30, Post-Crescent Media readers were treated to a feminist rant by Community Columnist Laurie Friedman-Fannin titled, "State government should stay out of personal decisions." No, it wasn't about government redefining the institution of marriage. It was about abortion. You know that a sick and depraved society has hit rock-bottom when women are clamoring for the so-called right to kill their own offspring. Friedman-Fannin writes, "I don't believe an embryo is a child." That's how it always starts. A segment of humanity is first dehumanized. Then, when they get around to exterminating it, we can do it with a clear conscience. The Hippocratic Oath, the medical code of ethics for physicians, states, "I will not give to a woman an abortive remedy." If all physicians followed that rule, Friedman-Fannin's column would be meaningless. But some people will kill for money, even physicians.
