The driver whose RV was mangled when the Michigan Street Bridge in Sturgeon Bay opened on June 23 was not at fault, according to an investigation and video released this week by Sturgeon Bay police.

Michael James Fielding Trese, 68, and his wife, D. Cherney Trese, of Merritt Island, Fla., and their two dogs narrowly escaped injury when their 42-foot-long recreational vehicle pulling a car was caught in southbound traffic on the bridge at 11 a.m., when the bridge started to go up.
