A 21-year-old Kronenwetter man was killed Thursday night when the motorcycle he was riding crashed with a pickup truck on Business 51 at Interstate 39, according to the Rothschild Police Department.
Seth E.W. Stadler was traveling north on Business 51 at about 8:30 p.m. when he collided with a pickup truck driven by a 16-year-old Kronenwetter girl, said Rothschild Police Capt. Jeremy Hunt. The truck was turning left off of a I-39 off ramp in an attempt to travel south on Business 51.
The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene, Hunt said. The girl driving the pickup was not injured.
Hunt said the preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol and speed may have been contributing factors in the crash. No citations or arrests were made, Hunt said, but Rothschild Police and the Marathon County Crash Reconstruction Team continue to the crash, Hunt said.
