We asked Kate Oborn, 19, of Mosinee, about her exercise favorites in this month’s Workout Q and A.

Question: What inspires you to exercise?

Answer: “I like being fit and it’s nice to have a strong body and be able to live a health lifestyle.”

Q: What is your favorite exercise equipment?

A: “Just using my own body weight to strengthen and tone muscles.”

Q: What is your favorite workout song or music?

A: “For pilates, the music is more calming, instrumental.”

Q: What is your favorite fitness activity that does not seem like a workout?

A: “Swimming with friends, playing around in the pool, it’s low-impact.”

Q: What are your wellness goals for 2013?

A: “I’d like to get into even better shape.” Oborn said she is trying to eat more plant-based foods and avoids much dairy and red meat.
