Lisa Ritchie, like many Fond du Lac artists, classifies herself as "self-taught artist."

She remembers spending many afternoons in her youth watching Bob Ross paint "happy little trees" and landscapes on his television show.

Sensing Ritchie's passion, her father built her an easel when she started painting at age 12. She would copy cartoons, teaching herself all of the basics, and then in high school, under the direction of her art teachers, she would copy more famous paintings, with one of her many inspirations being Georgia O' Keeffe. ...
