Local masseuse to open massage school (with video)

In all her 24 years as a massage therapist, Dennise Pagel has dreamed of opening a school of massage.

After a year of working with the state's Educational Approval Board to become accredited, her dream will come to fruition when she holds her first class later this month.

Pagel opened her salon, Serenity Now Massage and Body Work, 110 Jefferson St., in Wausau, in 2009 after working as a massage therapist for 20 years. It wasn't until last year that she finally felt she could open a massage therapy school, she said. ...
