Two growing local businesses will celebrate their new locations with public open houses on Saturday.
• CrossFit Appleton found both a new bigger location and the national spotlight in recent weeks. The personal training gym played a role in Ryan Sawlsville’s dramatic 217-pound weight loss documented June 25 on ABC’s “Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition.” Sawlsville worked locally with trainer Ryan Dart, owner of CrossFit Appleton.
Dart will show off his new facility with a public open house from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. The new location at W6131 Schroth Lane in Greenville, near the intersection of West Wisconsin Avenue and Mayflower Drive, is more than four times larger than his previous Grand Chute facility. “We’ve grown quite a bit,” he said. “Since the first of the year, we’ve more than doubled our clientele. Since the show aired, we have had more inquiries.” More info: crossfitappleton.com or its Facebook page
• Josephine’s Pizza, Pasta and Italian Market opened two months ago. Now it’s ready for its party.
The carry-out/delivery location at 2171 W. Wisconsin Ave. (in the former Russian Delights) in Grand Chute will hold its grand opening Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m.
“We’re giving away free pizza and have a raffle to give away gift baskets,” said owner Frank Marshall.
This spot is a satellite location for his larger Josephine’s pizzeria in Howard. See the menu at josephinespizza.com.
