For many people, enjoying a cold drink is one of the more enjoyable activities of summer.

If you're a fan of wine, there is a product that can keep your favorite brand chilled that has caught the eye of Oprah Winfrey, and also is only available locally at Designers 2, an interior design business in Stevens Point.

The Corkcicle was one of "Oprah's Favorite Things" for 2012. It's a product that can be kept in the freezer, then put into a bottle when it is opened to keep it cold from the inside. The product costs $25.

Brad Anderson took over ownership of Designers 2 from Marsha Sowle and Gayle Geiger, who started the business in 1983. The business has been in the Portage County Business Park at 3233 Business Park Drive for about six years.

Point Brewery adds Raspberry Smash to Ciderboys

The Stevens Point Brewery has added a new selection to its Ciderboys brand, Raspberry Smash Apple Raspberry Hard Cider.

Brewmaster Gabe Hopkins said Raspberry Smash is a naturally gluten-free hard apple cider blended with pure 100 percent raspberry juice. The cider is available in six packs of 12-ounce bottles, and on draft at select bars, taverns and restaurants.

"Raspberry Smash's big, refreshingly fruity flavor starts with the tart taste of raspberry on the front end, followed by a sweet, crisp apple finish," Hopkins said.

This is the sixth addition to the line of hard ciders produced by the brewery. Other flavors include First Press, Magic Apple, Cranberry Road, Mad Bark and Peach County.

Raspberry Smash Hard Cider is available in six-packs of 12-oz bottles, and on draft at select bars, taverns and restaurants wherever Ciderboys hard ciders are sold across the Midwest.
