Former Fond du Lac resident will sing national anthem at Brewers contest

Fond du Lac native Alissa Weber has always loved singing, but she never fully pursued her passion.

A recent turn of events, however, has put Weber on center stage. She is slated to perform the National Anthem when the Milwaukee Brewers host the Cincinnati Reds in a Major League baseball game July 9 at Miller Park.

The former Alissa Zimmerman first began singing in junior high school under the tutelage of Woodworth Middle School choir director Margaret Bohn. Weber said Bohn helped inspire her love of music. ...
