Construction on student housing complex moving forward

A new university housing complex serving University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County students is set to begin construction later this fall, with some residents voicing their concerns at a town hall meeting Monday night on the campus.

Construction is set to begin this fall on a privately funded and operated $4.2 million, 96-bed student housing facility at 2313 W. Fifth St. that would be available only to students attending UW-M/WC, Mid-State Technical College or the nursing program through UW-Eau Claire.
