A 32-year-old Fond du Lac woman is expected to face charges of failing to provide proper shelter to an animal after police found a litter of puppies housed in poor conditions at her home.

The Fond du Lac Humane Society is caring for the 10 golden retriever/Labrador mix pups and is hoping to gain custody of the animals, shelter manager Renee Webb said.

A concerned citizen brought the puppies' plight to the attention of animal shelter staff on Monday. ...
