Plover man charged with injuring infant

Charges have been filed against a central Wisconsin man accused of seriously injuring his child while changing the boy's diaper.

Ronald J. Brummer, 27, of Plover, will make an initial appearance at 1:30 p.m. July 30 in Waupaca County Court on felony charges of physical abuse of a child and substantial battery. Each charge carries a maximum of three years in prison.

On April 10, 2012, the then-2-month-old infant was taken to a Neenah clinic, where X-rays revealed three fractures on the child's leg that neither parent could explain, according to the criminal complaint. ...
