Man who died in skydiving accident Tuesday remembered as genuine, fun-loving

The children of a master skydiving instructor who died in Lake Butte des Morts following a jump that went wrong Tuesday described their father as a genuine man who lived life to its fullest and treated everyone like family.

Paul Olsen, of Belleville, a community in Green County, died while doing a tandem jump with a student out of an airplane 10,000 feet in the air. Sudden strong winds at the onset of severe weather blew the 55-year-old skydiver and his student away from their landing site and over the lake.
