Garmin, a company known for its global positioning system equipment and related products, is surveying Lake Winnebago as part of development of a new marine GPS product.

This updated GPS is set to be released next year and will be "unsurpassed by any mapping on the market today," Garmin International media relations specialist Wes Owens said.

"The amount of detail we will provide to the angler will allow him or her to have a better understanding of the lakebed, where channels or structures are located and ultimately show where the fish will most likely gather," Owen said via email. ...
