Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died Tuesday after losing control of his vehicle and striking a light pole on Oshkosh's west side as Jeremy R. Vanderzanden.

Vanderzanden, 38, lost control of his motorcycle at 11:57 a.m. Tuesday on Havenwood Drive.

The Oshkosh Police Department accident reconstruction team and detective bureau are investigating the cause of the crash, but a spokesperson for the department said weather was likely a major factor.
