The 16th annual University of Wisconsin-Extension Portage County Master Gardener Volunteers Garden Parade will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Six Stevens Point-area gardens will be showcased during this year's event. They include everything from smaller spaces to large areas to vegetable gardens. A community project, the Y Community Garden, also is included on this year's tour.

Tickets cost $10 in advance or $12 on parade days. For more information, call UW-Extension Portage County at 715-346-1316 or search "Portage County Master Gardners" on Facebook.

Proceeds from the Garden Parade benefit the Master Gardener Volunteers and are used for scholarships, community projects and educational speakers. The gardening group also will donate a portion of the proceeds to Children's Service Society of Wisconsin.
