Health coach and wellness author Karen Wolfe will offer a session for the public at 6 p.m. Monday at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point campus, Room 221, Noel Fine Arts Center at 1800 Portage St.

Wolfe is participating in the National Wellness Conference taking place at the college next week.

She will talk about strategies for diet and weight management from her newly published book, "Is Your Lifestyle Killing You?" In the book, Wolfe identifies the psychological, physical and lifestyle causes of weight problems and the powerful role of brain biochemistry in food cravings.

Wolfe participated June 24 in an online chat on healthy eating with Gannett Central Wisconsin Media's 13 For 13 readers.

Attendees also will hear of weight-loss success stories and have access to information on the local food community from Central Rivers Farmshed and local activity guides.

Wolfe will have copies of her book for sale. There is no fee for the presentation. For other questions, call 13 For 13 Editor Carrie Hutton at 715-845-0660.
