Amiee Thompson sat in the shade cast by one of the dozens of tents lining the Reetz Memorial Softball Fields at Menominee Park taking in all of the activity Saturday afternoon.

There was a steady stream of patrons to the concession stand and merchandise tents. There was a sizeable wet spot around the dunk tank, signaling a wealth of successful throws. There was, of course, softball action stretched across three of the park's diamonds, too.

And it was all happening for Thompson. ...
