Reader questions: Any idea what’s happening at Il Angolo? There’s brown paper in the windows.

Answer: The restaurant and bar at 201 N. Appleton St. in Appleton was closed for two weeks for freshening up. It reopened for dinner today, Monday.

“We are just changing the interior of the place, the color, decoration and artwork. We’re making some improvements by the bar,” said general manger Conrado Mendez. “We have business meetings here so we added a projector and a screen.”

He said the restaurant closes every summer for a week of vacation. This year, it was closed for two weeks to allow for both vacation and interior work. The bar will be finished overnight tonight.

Il Angolo is open for dinner every night except Sunday.
