WIAA baseball: Plymouth shocked in sectional semifinals

Plymouth's season came to an unlikely conclusion in a WIAA baseball sectional semifinal.

Trailing 1-0 in what up until then had been a pitcher's duel, No. 1-seeded Plymouth allowed No. 4 Kewaskum to score three runs in the top of the sixth inning to put the game out of reach in a 4-0 defeat.

"Overall it was a good game, well-played by both teams, just a couple of breaks that we didn't create or didn't capitalize off of ourselves," Plymouth coach Butch Cain said. "Give them credit, they had clutch hits that we did not." ...
