City apologizes for mayor's comments on incident about game

Bostedt does not join in letter to Suring player

The City of Oconto has issued a letter of apology to a now former Suring basketball player as part of a settlement to a potential legal claim.

However, the apology did not end with the name of Mayor Victoria Bostedt, whose remarks in March and alleged conduct at a game between Oconto and Suring in January led to the claim.

"I am not part of the apology letter," Bostedt said later. "I refuse." ...
