Medford teen sentenced following February school threat

The Medford teenager accused of lying to police in the wake of a threat at Medford High School in February has been sentenced to 30 days in jail.

Denarah Kitzman, 17, was sentenced in a Taylor County courtroom today after reaching a plea deal with prosecutors. In exchange for pleading no contest, Kitzman received a 30-day jail sentence and is forced to write a letter of apology.

Kitzman also will pay restitution of $563, along with court costs and other fees. ...
