One-by-one families reunited after a July 18, 1996, tornado swept through Oakfield.

Climbing out of the debris that was once their homes and rallying at Oakfield High School, they found each other and waited to see who wouldn't come.

But after an F5 tornado - one of the worst of Mother Nature's storms - left the city in tatters, every resident of Oakfield was alive. ...
