Mid-State Sisters of Skate will host two fast-paced bouts of women's roller derby on Saturday at the Goals & Dreams Ice Arena at Arnott Lions Park, 6867 Fourth St., Arnott. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the bouts start at 6 p.m.

First up, the Bam!Bs of Mid-State will take on the Northwoods Derby Knockouts of Rhinelander. Following that, the Perpetual Motion Squad will go up against the Quad City Rollers from Iowa.

Tickets cost $10 at the door; children 12 and younger get in free. Seating is limited, so bring a chair.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will help support the Lions Club International, a global service club organization dedicated to community service. The Lions Club also hosts a summer camp in Rosholt for special-needs campers.
